Finally managed a decent picture of my take on Hellgirl.
I am of the mind that genderswap character designs should only be as 'different' from the original as the character's personality would allow. For example: Emma Frost swapped would wear something skimpy and showy for a dude, and have a great body, Hellboy is monster sent from hell, so IF he were a lady instead of a dude, that lady would not look very conventionally attractive at all, she would look strong yet laid back. She would NOT look like a playboy model. Changing sex doesn't automatically crank up sexuality to eleven, and while I'm all for cheesecake, I am tired of seeing JUST cheesecake on my genderswap character design cart, ESPECIALLY with a property like Hellboy which treats it's women with dignity.
