I favorited this some time ago, but I just want to express just how much I enjoy this piece. I've shared it with multiple people, who all agree that it is simply fantastic. What I love most about it, however, is just the sheer economy of storytelling, packing an entire story into one page, all without dialog. Today's writers and artists could learn from this.
This is awesome. First off before I dissolve into fangirling over how cute Guy and Ice are, let me say that I loved the pacing of the comic. It really told a story with a solid beginning middle and end, and the expressions were really well done. I loved seeing everyone's reactions to the different acts while Guy just kinda sat dazed. Poor John as a stand up comedian. Also love the coloring and the posters. I think one of my favorite things about the posters is that while it emphasizes both Ice and Fire's sexuality in order to sell tickets, I really liked how Ice was totally different from what they expected based on the poster. And that I think is what really got Guy's attention. And Fire is just awesome! The ending was both funny and beyond adorable. Just so cute! *melts at the utter cuteness*
This.....makes me indescribably HAPPY! I love the JLI, always has been and always will be my most beloved team ever. Whatever happened to comics being fun and having happy endings? Everything about this just cracks me up, and Guy makes me daaaaawwwww. I love Ted, Booster, and Guy just trolling around up top, and I really like Fire and Ice's posters, but really, it's those four panels at the end that just got me. Guy swooning over Tora is adorable, Max "convincing" the reporter to swoon is hysterical, Jonn, well, poor Jonn lol, but you know, I bet he has a wicked baritone, and of course Ted and Booster are gonna whoop it up for Bea. Really, this made my day, great style, vibrant colors, and a JLI AU concept I would pay money to read
I love everything about this. My favourite team is also the Justice League International! Seeing Maxwell Lord hypnotizing Superman made me laugh loudly, plus love the ending with Beetle and Booster going nowhere fast with Fire, as well as Guy bringing flowers to Ice.
